Indian duo Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa had to content with a Bronze when they lost to Chinese fifth-seeded pair of Tian Qing and Zhao Yunlei 21-14,21-16 in semi-final of the World Badminton championship women's doubles in London .<br/><br/>The Commonwealth Games gold medalist pair etched their names in history books on Friday when they became the first Indian duo to ensure a medal in the tournament. Jwala and Ashwini's performance also ended India's 28 year medal drought in the flagship event. <br/><br/>India's only other medal in the championship came in 1983 Prakash Padukone bagged the men's singles bronze in Copenhengen, Denmark.
