Saina Nehwal, Kidambi Srikanth and B Sai Praneeth today entered the pre-quarterfinals in singles events of the World Badminton Championships being played in Glasgow, Scotland.Saina beats Sabrina Jaquet of Switzerland in straight games 21-11, 21-12, Praneeth overcame Anthony Sinisuka Ginting of Indonesia in three games 14-21 21-18 21-19, and Srikanth humbled France's Lucas Corvee 21-9 21-17.Saina will next take on second seed Sung Ji Hyun, who defeated India's Tanvi Lad 21-9 21-19. Saina has a 7-2 head-to-head record against the Korean and most recently she beat her at the Australian Open in June.Srikanth's next opponent will be 14th seed Anders Antonsen of Denmark tomorrow. Singapore Open champion B Sai Praneeth will next take on either Germany's Marc Zwiebler or Chinese Taipei's Chou Tien Chen tomorrow.Last night, women's doubles pair of Meghana Jakkampudi and Poorvisha S Ram and the men's doubles pair of Arjun MR and Ramchandran Shlok bowed out of the championship after losing out.
