World Autism Awareness Day observes to create awareness, encourage people to support those people

<span style="color: #222222;">Today is World Autism Awareness Day. The objective of the day is to create awareness about Autism and also to encourage people to support those who are suffering from this disorder. This year the theme is – &quot;Inclusive Quality Education for All&quot; which marks the global inequalities in education and society, faced by people with autism.<br />”<br />”Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder, refers to a broad range of conditions characterized by challenges with social skills, repetitive behaviours, delay speech, and nonverbal communication. Talking to AIR News, Chief &nbsp;of Child Neurology Division, Department of Paediatrics , AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr Shefali Gulati &nbsp;said that the common symptoms of the autism in children include delayed language, poor eye contact as well as problem in social &nbsp;interaction and communication.<br />”<br />”Dr Gulati added that once the child &nbsp;shows symptoms of Autism, then the parents should immediately consult a paediatrician for early identification.&nbsp; She said, once the child is &nbsp;diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder then the focus should be on behavioural intervention in such children for development.&nbsp;</span><br />
