Tintu Luka could not qualify for the next stage in the 800 metres event in the World Athletics Championship. Though Tintu recorded her season best timings, she failed to make the semi final cut. Later today, in the women's 3000 metres steeplechase finals Shivaji Lalita Babar will be trying her luck. Earlier, Lalita had set a new national record while running in preliminary round.
