World Aids Day is being observed today.

The day is dedicated to raising awareness of the Aids pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection.

The day has been marked across the globe since 1988.

This year theme is Getting to zero: Zero new HIV infections: Zero Aids related deaths: Zero discrimination.

Several functions across the country have been organised to mark the day. In Delhi, seminars, symposiums, discussions are being organised to create awareness of the decease.
