Higher and Technical Education, Ladakh, Regional Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship UT Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and NIELIT, Leh conducted a day-long workshop on Apprenticeship act 1961 for Hotel Industry, Public Sector Undertakings and other establishments here in Leh on Monday.<br />'' <br />''It is part of the proposed series of awareness and sensitisation programs about the Apprenticeship Act to be conducted in Ladakh prior to the implementation of the act in Ladakh.<br />'' <br />''Earlier, the UT Administration conducted awareness programs through webinar for the officials of various governmental departments about the act.<br />'' <br />''Apprenticeship Act was notified in Ladakh in 2019.<br />'' <br />''The Ladakh administration is set to roll out the Apprenticeship Act in two months of time.<br />'' <br />''Higher and Technical Education Commissioner Secretary Padma Angmo addressing the inaugural function of the workshop said the administration is also willing to help in providing short term courses to the candidates prior to roll out of the act to ensure successful implementation and zero defaulter  in Ladakh.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Regional Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship UT Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir Regional Director S Santhimanalan said the workshop by the directorate at Leh is held for the first time and Apprenticeship Mela is planned to held at Leh on April 17.</span><br />
