The Sports Ministry today constituted a nine-member Working Group which will prepare a revised draft of the National Sports Development Code, NSDC and submit its recommendations within three months. The Working Group will be headed by Retd Delhi High Court Judge CK Mahajan and has former hockey skipper Ajitpal Singh and former national Table Tennis champion Indu Puri as its prominent members. A Sports ministry release said that the Working Group shall examine the existing NSDC from both sports governance and legal angles and fine-tune the same with the purpose of making it more precise and succinct.
