Former President A PJ Abdul Kalam has urged the youth to work for peace and progress of the nation. Giving the key-note address in the first convocation of Kutch University at Bhuj in Gujarat today, Kalam stressed the need to percolate the fruits of development into the rural India and reduce the illiteracy and inadequate health and hygiene systems. The Chancellor of the University and Governor of Gujarat, Dr Kamala said education was the base of the progress of any society or the nation. AIR Bhuj correspondent reports in the convocation, more than 40 students have been awarded gold medals for their achievements.
