Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi said, he will not resign unless given in writing by Mamata Banerjee. He said, he has a Constitutional duty to pilot the Railway Budget he had presented in Parliament. Mr Trivedi said there will be a discussion today and he has to answer the discussion on the railway budget.
He was talking to reporters yesterday after the party's chief whip Kalyan Banerjee had a telephonic talk with him. Mr. Banerjee told our Kokata Correspondent that as a Parliamentary colleague, he advised Trivedi to resign to ensure an honourable exit.
The party leader Sudip Bandyopadhay said, nothing will be given in writing to Mr. Trivedi.
Trinamool Congress Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banejee has re-iterated that she has written to the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for replacement of Dinesh Trivedi as Rail Minister.
