Indian Women's Hockey team Captain Ritu Rani has been dropped for Rio 2016 Olympics even as the final squad is yet to be announced. Confirming her drop, Hockey India sources said she was dropped due to poor performance and failure to pick up despite being warned several times. The Indian Women Hockey team qualified for Olympics after a gap of 36 years under her captaincy. The 24-year-old has been at the forefront of Indian women's hockey for more than a decade.
