The women's hockey coach, M.K. Kaushik has resigned following reports about a sex scandal involving the team. A member of the squad had filed a written complaint alleging sexual harassment against one of the coaching staff. The women member alleged that the person had asked for sexual favours and used vulgar language during a recent tours abroad. The General Secretary of Hockey India Narendra Batra said the Sports Ministry has been apprised of the complaints and a four-member committee has been set up to probe the allegation. The committee will submit its report to the Sports Authority of India on Friday.AIR correspondent reports, Indian Hockey is in news again for wrong reasons. This time its the women's hockey team. The members of the team have made allegations of sexual harassment against coaching staff but MK Kaushik who quit as coach of the team claimed that this is conspiracy against him by the players who did not find place in the national team. The truth of course would be known once the probe is completed but the controversy coming as it does, just before the Asian Champions Trophy next week could affect the morale of the Indian Hockey team.
