In Women's Cricket, India have gained lead of 478 runs on the second day of Mumbai Test. India were 186 for 6 wickets in their second innings at stumps. Earlier, Indian team bundled out England at the paltry score of 136 in their first-innings on Friday, taking a first innings lead of 292 runs. The visitors lost their last six wickets for 10 runs. For India, Deepti Sharma scalped five wickets for just 7 runs.
India had put a formidable first-innings total of 428 runs against England. Resuming their play at an overnight score of 410 runs for 7, Hosts were bowled out for 428, adding just 18 runs.
On the opening day yesterday, the hosts piled up a huge 410 runs at the end of the play. With this, India became the second-ever women's team in 88 years to score 400 runs in a single day of a Test match. England made the record in 1935.
Earlier, India women's team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and opted to bat first.
