In Women's Cricket, chasing a target of 142 runs, India were 116 for 0 in 12.1 overs against Australia at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, when reports last came in.
 
Earlier, put into bat first, Australia were all out on 141 runs in 19.2 overs. Titas Sadhu took four wickets for the hosts while Phoebe Litchfield made 49 runs in 32 balls for Australia.
 
The second and the third match of this series will be played on 7th and 9th of this month respectively.
