Women commuters to be allowed unrestricted travel on Mumbai's suburban locals: Piyush Goyal

<span style="color: #222222;">Railways Minister Piyush Goyal has announced that women commuters will be allowed unrestricted travel on Mumbai's suburban locals from tomorrow.<br />''<br />''In a tweet, Mr. Goyal said, Railways will allow all women travellers between 11am and 3 pm and then 7pm onwards.<br />''<br />''He said the railways have already made necessary preparations and the allowance has been made post the receipt of Maharashtra Government's request in this regard.<br />''<br />''Last week, the Maharashtra Government had requested the railway authorities to allow unrestricted travel for women commuters.<br />''<br />''Stating that entry must be allowed to all women possessing valid tickets, the letter written by Kishor Raje Nimbalkar, Secretary, Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation department;  had said that QR codes must not be made compulsory for these commuters.</span><br />
