Withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some parts of northwest India to commence from Oct 6: IMD

India Meteorological Department has predicted that the withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some parts of northwest India will commence from October 6. The development of anti-cyclonic circulation at lower level over northwest India from 5th October will help in withdrawal of Monsoon.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said, under its influence, drastic reduction in moisture and absence of rainfall over extreme northwestern parts of India is very likely.
