In Rajasthan, 377 doctors working on deputation have been transferred to their parent medical department as a measure to improve medical services in hospitals affected by doctors’ strike. Newly appointed 750 doctors have started taking charge in different districts which would further ease the situation.A few striking doctors have also returned to work. The National Rural Health Mission's contractual employees also returned to work today after their strike was called off Monday.Meanwhile, the in-service and Resident doctors’ strike continued for seventh day today affecting normal working of the government hospitals.Nearly 425 doctors have been arrested under the Rajasthan Essential Services Maintenance Act (RESMA) and 57 have been suspended. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed the doctors to resume their work, after which government is ready to hold talks with them.
