In UP, four children have succumbed to encephalitis or brain fever during past twenty four hours in BRD Medical College Hospital of Gorakhpur. With this, the death toll due to encephalitis in the eastern region has mounted to 365 this year. Quoting official sources, our Gorakhpur correspondent reports that 18 patients suffering from brain fever were admitted to the hospital yesterday. This year a total of 2359 patients of brain fever have been admitted to different government hospitals of Gorakhpur and Basti divisions.
