With 2 more held in capital, a total of 24 persons arrested in IPL betting case

Two more persons have been arrested in connection with the IPL spot-fixing scandal with police conducting searches for bookies in the case.Delhi police today disclosed that Vicky Chowdhury, a bouncer who allegedly introduced Rajasthan Royal's player Ajit Chandila to a fourth set of bookies, and Nitin Jain were apprehended yesterday.Vicky is the friend of Bhupinder Nagar, Chief Security Officer of two night clubs in the capital, who was arrested yesterday. It was Nagar who took Chandila to Vicky, who sought contacts with cricketers on behalf of two bookies.The bookies along with Nagar and Vicky met Chandila in Jaipur before a match between KKR and RCB in Ranchi in the second week of May. With the fresh arrests, a total of 24 people have been arrested in this case, including players Chandila, Sreesanth and Ankit Chavan.
