The annual Wipro Chennai Marathon normally conducted in December, has been postponed as a mark of respect to the late AIADMK Chief and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The organisers of the event said this in Chennai today. According to a press release, the marathon was originally scheduled to be held on December 11. The expo, scheduled to be held on December 9 and 10, has also been postponed. The organisers will announce the revised dates shortly, said the press release. Jayalalithaa passed away on December 5 after a prolonged illness.
