AIR correspondent reports, Winter session of Parliament is expected to be stormy affair ,as government is planning to push some ambitious economic agenda including Insurance Bill and the Goods and Service Tax Bill which may face a stiff resistance from the oppositions. The session is taking place weeks after parties belonging to the erstwhile Janata ' family came together on a common platform and have announced plans to have a joint strategy in both Houses of Parliament.
Together, these parties account for barely 15 seats in the Lok Sabha, but have25 seats in the Rajya Sabha, which indicates they may give tough time to the government. The Congress, which is the largest opposition group inthe Lok Sabha has made clear that the party will have reservations if the government brings amendments to various bills, including the one on land laws which was passed during the UPA regime. However, the last session went on very well eliminating all calculated presumptions, hopefully the winter session will also be on the same lines.
