The Winter Session of Orissa Assembly begins today. The main opposition parties Congress has decided not to settle down anything less than the resignation of Chief Minister following the adverse judgment of Orissa High Court on the proposed Vedanta University project. BJP, once an ally of the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has also decided to echo the voice of main opposition Congress. Besides, Congress and BJP legislators have decided to raise the multi-crore mining scam, Orissa High Court adverse judgment on Khandadhar mines lease to Posco, farmers’ suicide to embarrass the BJD government.Meanwhile, leader of opposition, Bhupinder Singh has said, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik should resign before beginning of the Assembly session. He said his party legislators will not settle down anything less than the resignation of the Chief Minister who has shown undue favour in giving land to Vedanta. He said the Orissa High Court has held Vedanta a 'fraud' company and on moral ground Chief Minister must resign.
