In Madhya Pradesh, the winter session of the State Legislative Assembly begins today in the capital Bhopal.AIR correspondent reports that the twelve day session will have in all ten sittings.The state government will table its second supplementary budget for the current financial year and more than one dozen bills during the winter session. The session is likely to be stormy.The main opposition party Congress will bring its first ever no-confidence motion against the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s government.Congress will leave no stone unturned to put the state government in the dock over the issues like alleged corruption in government circles, illegal mining, deaths of several tribals due to malaria in Sidhi district, bad conditions of roads, and shortage of seeds and fertilizers.On the other hand the ruling BJP will try to counter attack Congress by raising issues of alleged step motherly attitude of UPA government with Madhya Pradesh and rising prices.In Uttar Pradesh, winter session of both Houses of State Legislature begins today.The government on the first day of the session will present Vote on Account for next three months of current financial year in the Assembly.AIR Lucknow Correspondent reports that business advisory has only finalised agenda for two days and except Vote on Account, no other issue has been mentioned in the agenda of the Assembly.Meanwhile, a delegation of main Opposition Samajwadi Party leaders met Governor B L Joshi and asked him to immediately dismiss the BSP government, claiming that it had lost majority in the House.The Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, Shivpal Singh Yadav has expressed the apprehension that the BSP government will adjourn the Assembly sine die on the first day itself.The issues such as the proposed splitting of the state and the poor law and order situation are likely to make the Assembly session stormy.The BSP government had announced that it would get the proposal for division of the state into four parts, passed in the winter session itself.The Samajwadi Party and the BJP have also announced for bringing a No-confidence motion against the government.The Rashtriya Lok Dal, RLD has decided to bring a resolution in the Assembly on division of the state on the opening day.RLD legislative party leader Kokab Hamid said that the state government’s intentions were not clear over the tabling of the Bill regarding proposed division since the issue was not listed on the House agenda.BSP Supremo, Chief Minister Mayawati has issued directives to her legislators to attend the House in full strength.
