Winter session of HP, Chhatishgarh assembly begin

The winter session of Himachal Pradesh assembly begins today at Dharamshala in Kangra district. The session which generally commences in the last week of December has been advanced due to forthcoming elections of panchayat and local bodies. The session will have four sittings in total and some important bills including a bill to regulate private educational institutions and universities will be passed. Meanwhile, The winter session of Chhatishgarh Assembly begins today. This brief session will continue till the 10th of this month and will have a total of five sittings. The government will move the second supplementary budget for the current financial year in the House besides tabling four bills. On the other hand, the main opposition Congress seems to be in a mood to stall the proceedings of the House over the issues like the deterioting law and order situation and corruption.
