The winter session of West Bengal Assembly begins in Kolkata on Monday. Altogether five bills are likely to be placed in the house during the session. The speaker of the Assembly Biman Bandyopadhya told AIR that Health Services Amendment Bill, Land Acquisition Amendment Bill are among those will be tabled in the house. AIR correspondent reports that the government will formally announce the setting up of a Judicial Enquiry Commission to probe the devastating fire incident in Kolkata in the house, which claimed 92 lives so far. The opposition is also likely to move resolutions to discuss price rise and Law and Order situation in the state.
