The Wimbledon Tennis Championships, the third Grand Slam of the season, kicks off in London today. World number one and local favourite Andy Murray will begin his title defence when he takes on Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan. Defending women's champion Serena Williams is not taking part in the tournament. Besides Murray, world number two Simona Halep, two-time winner Petra Kvitova, Spain's Rafael Nadal, Stanislas Wawrinka and local girl Johanna Konta will play their opening round matches today. Sania Mirza, Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna are among the Indians taking part in the Doubles and will begin their campaigns later in the tournament.
