Wimbledon: Murray, Ferrer & Tsonga advance to 4th round

In Wimbledon Tennis championships in London, Andy Murray, David Ferrer and J. Tsonga have advanced to the fourth round of Men's Singles. Scottish player Andy Murray defeated Marcos Baghdatis from Cyprus 7-5, 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 while Spain's David Ferrer beat American Andy Roddick 2-6, 7-6, 6-4, 6-3. French Tsonga defeated Slovak player Lukas Lacko 6-4,6-3, 6-3 to move to fourth round. In the Women's singles, defending Champion Petra Kvitova from Czech Republic and Serena Williams of US have also advanced to the fourth round. Petra thrashed American Varvara Lepchenko 6-1, 6-0 while Serena defeated Chinese Jie Zheng 6-7, 6-2, 9-7. Fifth seeded Indian duo of Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza, suffered a crushing 3-6, 1-6 defeat at the hands of Australian-Russian pair of P Hanley and A Kudryavtseva in the second round of mixed-doubles. The fourth seeded Indo- Czech pair of Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek, however, entered the third round of the Men's Doubles. They notched up a 6-2, 6-4, 7-6 victory over Isreali combination of Jonathan Erlich and Andy Ram. In a Mixed Doubles fixture, India's Rohan Bopanna and his Chinese partner Jie Zheng moved into the pre-quarter-finals after getting a walkover in the second round.
