Wimbledon: Murray crashes out; Paes, Stepanek in Doubles QFs

In the ongoing Wimbledon Open tennis tournament, defending champion Andy Murray of Britain has crashed out of the men's singles, losing to Gregor Dimitro of Bulgaria in the quarterfinals. Roger Federer of Switzerland advanced to the semi finals by defeating his countryman Stanislas Wawrinka. Novak Djokovic also advanced to the semis beating Croatian Marin Cilic.Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek have advanced to the quarterfinals of the men's doubles by defeating the 11th seeded pair of Jean Julien Roger and Horia Tecau last evening. In the men's singles, In the mixed doubles second round, Sania Mirza and her Romanian partner Horia Tecau beat unseeded pair of Mate Pavic and Bojana Jovanovski. The semi-final ties of the Women's singles have been drawn. In the first semifinal, Eugenie Bouchard of Canada will meet Simona Halep of Romania. In the second semis, Luci Safarova of the Czech Republic will meet her compatriot Petra Kwitova.
