Wimbledon: Maria Sharapova to take on Petra Kvitova

Russia's Maria Sharapova will take on Czech left-hander Petra Kvitova in the women's singles final of the Wimbledon Tennis championships in London in a short while from now. Fifth seeded Sharapova is bidding to add a second Wimbledon title to her grand slam collection. She last claimed the grass court prize in 2004 when she was just 17.Twenty-one year old Kvitova is appearing in a Grand Slam final for the first ime. She is also the first left-hander to make the final at the All England Club since Martina Navratilova did it in 1990.In the Mixed Doubles semi-finals, the Indo-Russian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Vesnina will meet the combination of Australian Paul Hanley and Su-Wei Hsieh of Taipeh.The men's doubles final is also slated for today.India to resume second innings against WI at Bridgetown India will resume their second innings at their overnight score of 229 for three on the final day of the second Cricket Test against West Indies at Bridgetown, Barbados, today. The tourists have an overall lead of 240 runs.The scores so far: India – 201 and 229 for three.
