Roger Federer of Switzerland and Serbia's Novak Zokovic have stormed into the men's singles semi-finals of the Wimbledon Tennis championships in London. Federer earned a record 33rd grand slam semi-final berth today when he beat third seeded Mikhail Youzhny of Russia 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 in the quarter final match.He is now two steps away from winning his 7th Wimbledon title, a feat which Sampras had achieved in the past. In the other quarter-final match, Zokovic defeated Germany's Florian Mayor 6-4, 6-1,6-4. India's challenge in the men's doubles ended on Wednesday.However, Leander Paes is still in the fray as he is to play in the second round of the mixed doubles, partnering Elena Vesnina. In the other mixed doubles, the Indo-Chinese pair of Rohan Bopanna and Zhi Jheng with lock horns in the third round with Italy's Daniel Bracialy and Roberta Vinci.
