Indian Tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Vesnina of Russia have entered the quarter-finals of the mixed doubles Wimbledon championships. In London last night, the duo defeated American-Belarusian pair Eric Butorac and Olga Govortsova 6-2 , 7-6 in the third round. In the mixed doubles, Indian duo Bopanna and Sania Mirza are one step away from making the quarter-finals as they face Czech team of Martin Damm and Renata Voracova in the third round. In the second round, they scored 7-5, 6-2 victory over Jamie Murray of Great Britain and Jarmila Gajdosova of Australia. Sania Mirza and her partner Elena Vesnina have already entered the semi-finals of the women's doubles of the championship. In Men's section, Rafal Nadal has entered the semi-final of the singles' event. He defeated American Mardy Fish 6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, six-time champion Roger Federer has bowed out of the Championship. He lost to Jo Wilfried Tsonga of France in five sets.
