Will thwart any infiltration attempt by Pakistan: BSF

Border Security Force, BSF, today said, it will thwart any infiltration attempt by Pakistan in winter during snowfall. <br/><br/>Talking to media during annual press conference in New Delhi, Director General BSF, KK Sharma said, more than one thousand incidents of ceasefire violations have taken place on the international border in Jammu and Kashmir in the last one year. <br/><br/>He said, BSF troops not only repulsed the violations effectively but also foiled a number of infiltration attempts by neutralising heavily armed infiltrators on several occasions.<br/><br/>The DG said, BSF seized over 10 thousand kilograms of narcotics in the last eleven months. Replying to a query, he said, the force will soon install a smart fence on the international borders.<br/><br/>On Rohingyas issue, Sharma said, the issue is complicated and India's policy is very clear that it will not allow any illegal migration. <br/><br/>He said, the border guarding force has apprehended 87 Rohingyas on Indo-Bangla border up to 31st October this year. <br/><br/>He said they were trying to infiltrate and ex-filtrate into India. Seventy-six of them were pushed back to Bangladesh. He said, infiltration of Rohingyas to India cannot be ruled out but BSF is keeping a close watch on any possible infiltration.
