Mr. Prakas Karat, CPIM General Secretary has said that the party has the historic mission of building left and democratic front in the country. The forthcoming 20th party congress to be held next month at Kozhikode will discuss this issue. Mr. Karat was inaugurating a month long exhibition titled 'socialism is the future' at Kozhikode in Kerala this evening.

He also said that the party congress will discuss the political and ideological resolutions to meet the challenges of the present world. The Party Congress is from April 4 to 9.
