The Election Commission says it will monitor closely the use of money and muscle power in the ensuing elections to State Assemblies.

Chief Election Commissioner S. Y. Quraishi told reporters in Dehradun on Friday that observers’ team would keep tab on the activities of candidates to see that voters are not lure with liquors.

He said that a special cell had been assigned to address the grievances of various political parties.
