Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar has said she would ensure the stalemate in Parliament over the Opposition demand for a Joint Parliament Committee (JPC) probe into 2G spectrum does not spill over to the Budget Session. She appealed to the Opposition to allow functioning of Parliament on Monday, the last day of the Winter Session. On Friday, proceedings in both houses of Parliament were disrupted for the 21st working day with repeated adjournments amidst pandemonium. The Rajya Sabha witnessed an incident of snatching of papers by a BJP member from the Chair in the post-lunch session when the private members' business was scheduled to be taken up.
