<span style="color: #222222;">Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu has assured that he would talk to Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokriyal Nishank and find out if measures could be taken to accord central university status to Patna University. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He was speaking after inaugurating centenary year celebration of the library of Patna University in Bihar today. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Naidu said that Bihar known for quality education across the globe in the ancient period due to the existence of a number of premier educational institutions including Nalanda University had contributed a lot to the nation in different areas including science, technology, judiciary, education and social movement.<br />'' <br />'' Later addressing centenary celebrations of Patna High school, Mr. Naidu expressed concern over India's slide from the heights of Nalanda and Takshasila to not being among the world's top 100 educational institutions now. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Vice President said New Education Policy will make India a global educational hub. He urged the public to give their views and suggestions on the draft National Education Policy. Mr. Naidu stressed on the need for having a fresh look at the education system and for revamping the education system to make universities world-class.</span>
