Wikileaks discloses China's involvement in Africa

The latest batch of US diplomatic cables disclosed by WikiLeaks focus on US views of China's involvement in Africa. In the cable, the US Assistant Secretary for African Affairs, Johny Carson describes China as a very aggressive and pernicious competitor with no morals. The Wikileaks cables list in detail China's growing role in Africa in energy, industry and providing military and intelligence gathering facilities. One of the cables in February this year quotes Johnny Carson as saying that China is not there for altruistic reasons.
