WI 256 for five on day-1 of 1st Cricket Test against India

An unbeaten 111 by Shivnarine Chanderpaul steered West Indies to 256 for five on day one of the first Cricket Test against India at Feroze Shah Kotla in New Delhi on Sunday. It was Chandrapaul's seventh Test century against India and 24th overall. At stumps, Carlton Baugh was at the other end with 19 runs. Opener Kraigg Brathwaite had contributed a useful 63. Earlier, in the morning, the visitors won the toss and opted to bat. Pragyan Ojha bagged three wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin took two. Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni completed another milestone on Sunday as he pipped Syed Kirmani to become the Indian wicketkeeper with highest number of dismissals in his kitty.Dhoni claimed his 199 victim when he stumped Kraigg Brathwaite off Pragyan Ojha's bowling. Dhoni is playing his 62nd Test match, while Kirmani represented India in 88 Tests.
