The West Indies were 107 for 2 against India at lunch on day 1 of the first cricket test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today. Marlon Samuels on 45 and Darren Bravo on 16 were at the crease. Openers Chris Gayle and Kieran Powell were the West Indian wickets to fall. Bhuvneshwar Kumar claimed the wicket of Gayle, while Mohammed Shami took the wicket of Powell. Earlier, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first. This is the first test of the 2-match series. The second test at Mumbai from November 14 will be the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar's last international match
