Health Minister J P Nadda today said that the successful outcome of the WHO conducted assessment of the National Regulatory Authority (NRA) of India is a big boost to the Government's efforts towards quality healthcare. <br/><br/>The Minister's comment came after NRA- the coutry's vaccine regulatory body- was recently given the maximum ratings by WHO. Mr Nadda said in New Delhi that the government is committed to quality healthcare in the country. <br/><br/>An official release said, WHO in its letter has applauded the country's NRA being declared 'functional' with a maturity level of 4, the highest level as per currently evolved definitions. The Minister said, this result has come due to hard work of all health functionaries who have collaborated with the ministry in its efforts. He said WHO has termed the 100 per cent compliance in its assessment as another landmark achievement.<br/><br/>The previous WHO assessment was conducted in 2012 during which Institutional Development Plan and the roadmap for strengthening NRA were developed.
