The annual rate of Inflation, measured on Wholesale Price Index, for November dropped to zero per cent from 1.77 per cent in October. According to official data released today, the index of food articles group fell to nearly three year low of 0.63 per cent, due to lower price of bajra and tea, ragi and fruits and vegetables. However, the price of moong, fish, egg, coffee and mutton, wheat, arhar and condiments and spices moved up.BJP credited the Narendra Modi government's good governance and development policies for bringing Wholesale inflation to zero level in November. Party Secretary Shrikant Sharma said that the NDA government has been able to control inflation during its first six months in office in keeping with the promise made to the people in the Lok Sabha elections. He said the Wholesale Price Index-based inflation was 7.52 per cent in November last year due to the anti-people policies of the previous UPA government.
