Wholesale inflation has soared to 1.62 per cent in June as against 0.79 per cent in May. According to official data released today, food inflation jumped to 8.18 per cent in June from 7.88 per cent in May as pulses and potato became costlier. The mineral prices were down by 20.75 per cent. Primary articles index rose 5.5 per cent, manufactured product index rose 1.17 per cent and fuels index fell 3.62 per cent.
