The World Health Organisation has asked the African nations to intensify their struggle to eradicate poliomyelitis and other childhood diseases.At the 60th session of WHO/Africa health ministers at Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, officials said to mitigate the impact of those illnesses. They also highlighted that vaccination policies must be part of every country's measures, along with higher funding. Officials emphasised that diverse sectors and community leaders should back the fight against poliomyelitis with a very high level of vaccination. They also recognised improvements in the reduction of poliovirus transmission in several African territories.
