A 14 member central team visited the white fly infested cotton fields at 14 villages in Mansa district and asked the farmers to use pesticides recommended by the state agricultural department. Joint director Union agriculture ministry DC Rajak who is heading the team said that during their visit they found the white fly beyond threshold level. <br/><br/>He said that they will also visit fields in the neighboring Bathinda district and will issue an advisory to the state government over the precautions to be taken by the agriculture department. <br/><br/>The team comprised officials of Central integrated pest management Centre, Punjab agriculture university and krishi vegan Kendra among others.
