In Haryana, with the fresh arrival of over 1.18 lakh metric tonnes of wheat in the various mandis on Sunday, total wheat arrivals has crossed 42.15 lakh metric tonnes. A spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said, that over 42.14 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been purchased by the six government procuring agencies at minimum support price and 1099 metric tonnes of wheat by the traders.Kaithal was leading with 4.90 lakh metric tonnes of wheat, followed by Karnal where over 4.76 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had arrived in the mandis.
