What happened in Lalgarh was unfortunate and should not be repeated: Buddhadev

West Bengal Chief Minister Mr. Buddhadev Bhattacharya has said that whatever had happened in the Natai village of Lalgarh was unfortunate and should not be repeated. He was speaking on the occasion of inauguration of a bridge in South 24 Parganas district yesterday. He blamed the alleged political nexus between the Trinamul and the Maoists for the incident. Trinamul Chief Ms. Mamata Banerjee alleged that the attack was preplanned and police was rendered inactive under orders. She was addressing a rally near Howrah after visiting Natai village yesterday.The Election Commission of India, now on a visit to Kolkata, held discussions with authorities on the impending assembly elections in the state. The Congress and the Trinamul have demanded preponement of elections to reduce political violence. The BJP has also demanded early polls.
