The United Nations World Food Programme, WFP, has begun airlifting food into the Somali capital Mogadishu. The WFP said the first load will feed three thousand five hundred children for a month. As the flight took off, the WFP spokesman in Nairobi said, the airlift will be continuing over several days. He said, they will be bringing in one hundred tonnes of food aid in the next few days.
