West Indies to resume overnight score of 34 for 1

West Indies will resume their overnight score of 34 for 1 on day two of the first test against India at Sabina Park, Jamaica. After they bowled out India for 246, the West Indies openers made very slow progress. The Indian seamers generated good movement but were inconsistent with their line. Ishant Sharma snapped up Simmons cheaply, but Barath and Sarwan ensured that host did not suffer any further jolts. Earlier, Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh shared a classy 146 runs for the 7th wicket helping the visitors India to amass a respectable 246 against the West Indies. Guest, who chose to bat, got off to a nervy start as they lost their 6 wickets for just 85 runs. Rahul Dravid provided the only resistance up the order while the rest tumbled in front of the typically fierce West Indian bowling. But it was Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh who came to the rescue, steadying the Indian innings. Suresh Raina scored 82 while Harbhajan Singh made 70. For the West Indies, Fidel Edwards bagged 4 wickets with Ravi Rampaul and Devendra Bishoo taking 3 wickets each.
