West Indies post 310 for 6 against Pakistan in a Group-B match

Chasing a victory target of 311, Pakistan were 27 for 5 in 12 overs against the West Indies in a Group-B game at Christchurch, when reports last came in. Sent in to bat, West Indies posted 310 for 6 after losing early wickets. Denesh Ramdin and Lendl Simmons scored half centuries. Darren Bravo, who made 49, was retired hurt after being hit on the head by a wayward throw.In reply, Pakistan lost 4 wickets for just 1 run. Paceman Jerome Taylor bagged 3 of the 4 wickets.Prior to this, both teams had played a match each, with Pakistan losing to defending champions India, and West Indies bowing down to giant-killers Ireland.In Pool-A later today, co-hosts Australia will take on Bangladesh at Brisbane.Team India will play its second match of the tournament tomorrow against South Africa at Melbourne.
