West Indies lift World T-20 title in both men's and women's section

The West Indies have lifted the World T-20 title in both the men's and women's section.In a thriller game last night at Kolkata's Eden Gardens, the Caribbean snatched victory from England to lift the title for the second time, the only team in history to do so. With 156 runs on chase, the competition went to the last over, West Indies requiring 19 runs in 6 balls with 4 wickets in hand. Lower order batsman Carlos Brathwaite then smashed 4 sixes in a row against Ben Stokes to ensure victory for his side. Brathwaite made crucial 34 off just 10 balls, while the other end was held by Marlon Samuels who made a fighting 85 when other batsmen perished during the chase. The match went see saw and swayed towards England for the most of the time till the last over.Earlier, batting first, England made 155 for 9 in stipulated 20 overs riding on Joe Root's brilliant 54.For his holding innings, Samuels was adjudged Man of the Match while India's Virat Kohli was adjudged Man of the series.Earlier yesterday, the West Indies women created history by clinching the Women's World T20 crown. They ended the domination of three time defending champions Australia in the tournament with an emphatic eight wicket victory in the final played in Kolkata.
