West Indies lift ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup title

The West Indies have lifted their maiden ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup title. In the final in Mirpur today, they beat three time champions India by five wickets. Needing to make 146 runs for a win, the Caribbeans achieved the target in 49.3 overs. Earlier put in to bat, India were bowled out for 145 in 45.1 overs. India were playing in their 5th Under-19 World Cup final, while the West Indies were appearing for the second time in the summit clash, after finishing runners-up to Pakistan in 2004.
